Dieses schraubenlose externe Gehäuse mit USB 2.0 Anschluss bietet Platz zum Einbau einer 2,5" NoteBook Festplatte. Mit Hilfe von Plug and Play und der Hot-Swap Funktion des Gehäuses kann die Festplatte somit im laufenden Betrieb an jeden PC mit USB 2.0 Anschluss angeschlossen werden. Somit ist eine reibungsfreie Datenübertragung mit einer Datenübertragungsrate bis max. 400Mbit/s möglich. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt mittels des im Lieferumfang enthaltenen PS/2 Adapter-Stromkabels. Das Gehäuse ist kompatibel zu ATA-5 / U-DMA 100 Festplatten. Das Gehäuse lässt sich schraubenlos öffnen und ermöglicht somit bei Bedarf ein schnelles Wechseln der Festplatte.
